The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory which is in effect from 5 pm until 10 am Thursday with bitter cold and winds from the northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph causing a wind chill of 20 to 30 degrees below zero.
Temperatures are expected to fall below zero to as cold as 15 below.
A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must venture outdoors make sure you wear a hat, gloves and appropriate clothing. This also could affect your animals as well so please take appropriate action.
