ARRESTS MADE AFTER A COMPLAINT OF A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE
On January 19, 2015, April D. Northerner, 31 and James P. Harper, 30 both of Tell City were arrested by Patrolman Ryan M. Smith. Smith was dispatched to the 400 Block of Knight Street in Cannelton to investigate a suspicious vehicle.
Smith located the vehicle and found inside the driver, Harper, and a passenger, Northerner. While speaking with the occupants Smith observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle tuned up syringes, methamphetamine, and additional paraphernalia.
Northerner was lodged at the Perry County Detention Center on the following charges:
- Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony,
- Unlawful Possession of Syringe, a Level 6 Felony,
- Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor, and
- Visiting a Common Nuisance, a Class B Misdemeanor
Harper was lodged at the Perry County Detention Center on the following charges:
- Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony,
- Unlawful Possession of Syringe, a Level 6 Felony,
- Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor, and
- Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a Level 6 Felony
