Due to the cold weather ,The Montclair Emergency Shelter (MESH) will provide overnight respite to the homeless Monday (1/26/2015) through Wednesday (1/28/2015). They are located in the Union Baptist Church, 14 Midland Ave, Montclair. They open at 9pm and close their doors at 11pm but will make an exception if a homeless resident is brought by the police. The New Light Baptist Church, 89-91 Dewy St, Bloomfield will open 8am until 6pm if needed as a warming station upon request. Please call the Bloomfield police at 973 680-4141 or the Bloomfield Human Services at 973 680 4017 and they will contact the Deacon who will open up the church. Please feel free to call the police if anyone needs transport to these services.
