Due to the blizzard, the Suffolk County Police Department is advising motorists that County Road 83 (North Ocean Avenue) will be closed in both directions between Granny Road and Mooney Pond Road as of 5:30 p.m. today.
The Suffolk County Police Department is urging residents to stay off the roads for the duration of the storm as well as during the clean-up efforts. Residents are reminded to call 911 for true emergencies only and calls that require police response. For emergency housing, residents can call 631-854-9517 during the day and 631-854-9100 after 4 p.m.
