Announces Arrests for:
Breaking and Entering to Motor Vehicle, Felony Larceny from a Motor Vehicle
The Southern Pines Police Department announces the arrests of Mary Lowery, 61 years of age of Lumberton, North Carolina and Liberty Lowery, 24 years of age, of Lumberton, North Carolina on the above charges. These arrests stem from an investigation by the Patrol and Investigation Divisions of the Southern Pines Police Department into a reported motor vehicle break-in that occurred at Pinecrest Plaza on January 16, 2015. The victim in this case advised the responding officers that as he exited a business he observed a female in his vehicle and a second female standing beside it. As the victim approached the vehicle, the two females got into a silver SUV and left the area.
Mary Lowery appeared before a Robeson County Magistrate and was released under a $5,000 unsecured bond pending a hearing in Moore County District Court on February 10, 2015.
Liberty Lowery appeared before a Robeson County Magistrate and was remanded to the Robeson County Jail under a $1,000 secured bond pending a hearing in Moore County District Court on February
10, 2015.
