Announces an arrest for: Felony Child Abuse-Inflicting Serious Injury
The Southern Pines Police Department announces an arrest for Felony Child Abuse-Inflicting Serious Injury. On January 28, 2015, members of the Southern Pines Police Department Investigations Division conducted an investigation into a reported felony child abuse at Humpty Dumpty Nursery located at 1725 Richards Street, Southern Pines North Carolina. Arrested was Wendi Jean Hargrove, 35 years of age from Aberdeen, North Carolina who was an employee of Humpty Dumpty Nursery. The victim in this incident, a ten month old child sustained a severe head injury and was treated at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.
Wendi Jean Hargrove was arrested and appeared before a Moore County Magistrate where she was incarcerated in the Moore County Detention Center under a $75,000.00 secured bond pending a hearing in Moore County District Court on February 11, 2015.
