Boynton Beach police are investigating a traffic fatality at the intersection of Boynton Beach Boulevard and Knuth Road.
At 8:33 p.m., a man cycling in the bicycle lane east on Boynton Beach Boulevard was struck when a woman driving a silver 2013 Ford Taurus lost control of her vehicle.
She is believed to have suffered from a medical condition that may have caused her to lose control of the car. She was taken to Bethesda Hospital. The bicyclist died at the scene.
All lanes of eastbound Boynton Beach Boulevard are shut down from Lawrence Road to Congress Avenue. Motorists are urged to seek alternate travel routes.
