BROWN COUNTY ALERT: A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 9:00 p.m. this evening till 9:00 p.m. Sunday

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 PM
CST SUNDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST LOUIS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS
EVENING TO 9 PM CST SUNDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN
EFFECT.

* TIMING...RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW ON SATURDAY EVENING WITH SNOW
CONTINUING ON SUNDAY AND INTO EARLY SUNDAY EVENING.

* ACCUMULATIONS...5 TO 7 INCHES OF SNOW.

* WINDS...BECOMING NORTH 10 TO 20 MPH ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND
EVENING....WITH HIGHER GUSTS.

* IMPACTS...THE WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL LIKELY RESULT IN
HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS...ESPECIALLY ON BRIDGES...
OVERPASSES...AND UNTREATED ROADS. PARKING LOTS AND SIDEWALKS
WILL BECOME SLIPPERY AS WELL.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS THAT A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF SNOW...
SLEET AND/OR ICE IS EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO
POSSIBLE.

Instructions:

If you must travel on Sunday be sure to have emergency supplies, extra clothing and blankets. Along with the hazardous travel conditions the temperatures are forecasted to be in the single digits with gusty winds which will bring the wind chill values close to 0 degrees overnight into Monday morning.
