Overnight Crash Leaves Dubois Man in Critical Condition
Dubois County: The use of a seatbelt could have reduced the injuries sustained by a Dubois man during a late night crash.
Trooper Kurtis Blunk reports that around 11:00 PM, Kyle S. Burger, 35, Dubois, was traveling northbound on County Road 1025 East in his 2003 Mini Cooper. As Burger was approaching the intersection of County Road 1025 East at State Road 164, Burger failed to stop and crossed through the “T” intersection. Burger lost control of his vehicle and was ejected as it flipped numerous times.
Burger was transported to Memorial Hospital in Jasper and was later taken to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for cuts to his head and contusions to his body. Burger was not using his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The accident remains under investigation by the State Police. Troopers were assisted on scene by the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department, Memorial Hospital EMS, and the Celestine Fire Department.
