On January 28, 2015, Chief Lee A. Hall was conducting a security check-walk through of the Golden Years Apartments located at 125 South 4th Street, Cannelton, IN. The police department had received several complaints regarding trespassing at the apartments.
While conducting the security check-walk through Hall observed Tiffany A. Dukes, 20, of Tell City. Hall had issued Dukes a criminal summons on January 26, 2015 for trespassing at the same location and knew she was not permitted on the property.
Hall arrested Dukes for criminal trespass. While conducting a search of her person, Hall found Dukes to be in possession of hypodermic needles/syringes.
As a result, Dukes was arrested and transported to the Perry County Detention Center. Dukes was incarcerated on the following charges:
- Possession or Control of a Hypodermic Needle/Syringe, a Level 6 Felony, 1 Count and
- Criminal Trespass, a Class A Misdemeanor, 1 Count
