Public Information Meeting Scheduled For Cannelton/Hawesville Bridge.

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will host a public information meeting regarding a proposed improvement project on S.R .237 in the City of Cannelton, Perry County. Specifically, this project proposes maintenance and painting activities on the Bob Cummings Lincoln Trail Bridge over the Ohio River.

The bridge connects Tell City and Cannelton, Indiana with Hawesville, Kentucky. This project is proposed to take place under two separate contracts; a bridge Rehabilitation Contract to make structural repairs and a separate contract to clean and paint the bridge superstructure from abutment to abutment, down to the bearings.

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the community of project developments including the project scope, schedule and maintenance of traffic plans. INDOT welcomes the opportunity to engage community members and solicit input regarding this project.
