GCSO looking for help to ID Dollar General robbery suspect
On Monday evening, Greene County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the Dollar General Store located on W Battlefield Rd in southwest Greene County in reference to a robbery that had occurred at approximately 8:16 pm. According to witness statements, a white male who was approximately 6-ft tall with a thin build and wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie with a green logo on the back and gloves entered the store. He also had his t-shirt pulled up over his face only leaving his eyes visible. The male approached the counter and demanded money from the cash register; no weapon was displayed.
The male fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and a perimeter was quickly established in an attempt to locate him, including the use of K9 officers. Unfortunately, no one matching the description was located.
GCSO Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying the male pictured from surveillance footage from last night's robbery. If you have any information, you are asked to either call the GCSO Tip Line at 417-829-6230 or send a message on Facebook (www.facebook.com/GreeneCountySO).
