A Winter Storm Warning for snow is in effect from 4 am Sunday to midnight Monday night for 12-16" of snow
A Winter Storm Warning for snow is in effect from 4 am Sunday to midnight Monday night. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect for snow accumulation of 12 to 16 inches over the course of the 48-hour period ending late Monday night.
Light snow will start tonight and continue without much break right through Monday night. The heaviest snow is expected Sunday night into Monday.
Roads will become snow covered and slippery and the additional snow will continue to add weight to any heavily snow covered roofs. Snow banks will continue to get larger, impeding vision when turning into roadways.
Winds will be from the northeast 5 to 10 mph with visibilities of one quarter mile or less at times and temperatures from 10 to 21 degrees.
Instructions:
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel keep an extra flashlight, food, water and clothes and/or blankets in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
