A STALLED FRONT WILL REMAIN OVER NEW ENGLAND OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. SEVERAL WAVES OF LOW PRESSURE WILL TRACK ALONG THIS FRONT THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT. THIS WILL ALLOW FOR PERIODS OF SNOW ACROSS southern NEW HAMPSHIRE. WHILE THE SNOW AT ANY GIVEN TIME WILL NOT BE PARTICULARLY INTENSE...IT WILL ADD UP OVER THE COURSE OF A FEW DAYS...WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR OVER A FOOT IN SOME AREAS. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE AND SOUTHWEST MAINE.
Due to the low temperatures and prolonged snow, the Public Works department urges travelers to use caution and expect snow covered roads for the next two days. Salt will not be applied until the storm is over and temperatures rebound.
