Scott Chandler, City Engineer for the City of Jackson, has authorized the temporary road closure of 2- lanes on E. Lafayette Street from Liberty Street to Church Street at 8:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m., on Saturday, February 14, 2015, for the Downtown Kids Mardi Gras Block Party and Parade. The road closure begins at 8:00 a.m. with the parade and ends 12:15 p.m.
The parade will start at E. Lafayette and Church street facing east. Turn right to head south on Church St. Turn right to head west on E. Main St. Turn Right to head north on N. Liberty St. Turn right to head east on E. College St. Turn right to head west back on to E Lafayette St. to conclude the parade.
