The AMR Installation Project has been in effect since September 2013 and Precision Pipeline Solutions has installed over 300K AMR devices since that time. PPS is now moving West across Long Island after completing installations on the East end and is currently in the Village of Malverne

PPS will make every attempt to gain access to our meters within the customer's property to properly perform the installation. PPS employees have been instructed to and will always announce themselves before entering a house whether it is for an inside Meter Set or an outside Meter Set. If PPS does not obtain access they will leave a door hanger with a phone number to schedule an appointment at the customer's earliest convenience.

The AMR device installation is free of charge and can take 10-20 minutes with no interruption of gas service, unless the meter needs to be changed. If the meter needs to be changed a meter containing the AMR device will be installed on a later date by a National Grid serviceman.

PPS is a certified contracting company of National Grid and they wear co-branded clothing. Their shirts have the National Grid Logo and the PPS logo visible on both sides of their chests. They also wear Co Branded Safety vests and drive in white co-branded vehicles. They are issued and wear Red Outlined Contractor National Grid photo ID badges.
