Two Wichita Falls Men Sentenced to Federal Prison

Two Wichita Falls men have been sentenced to federal prison in a cocaine distribution ring operating between Wichita Falls and McAllen. 34-year-old Rodolfo Trevino received 97 months after pleading to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine base, and one count of money laundering. He was also ordered to forfeit a home in the University Park addition, a Range Rover, a Hummer and a firearm. Federal authorities say from 2012 to 2014, Trevino traveled to McAllen to arrange for cocaine and marijuana to be transported to Wichita Falls. The money laundering charge originated from drug proceeds being deposited in Wichita Falls bank accounts and then being withdrawn in McAllen. Agents say Trevino recruited 34-year-old Rene Villastrigo to rent a home here to store and repackage the cocaine and marijuana and then convert the powder cocaine into crack cocaine. Villastrigo pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison.
