Robbery at Pam's Pizza in Swanton
On February 10, 2015 at 10:13 PM, Swanton Police received a call to respond to an attempted armed robbery at 77 First Street Pam’s Pizza. The owner of Pam’s Pizza was closing up for the night and was getting ready to go make a night deposit. When he was approached from behind by a lone male. The Male attempted to grab the money bag that the owner had in his hand. The owner was able to hold onto the bag and toss it into the vehicle and grabbed a hammer that was inside. The owner advised that lone male demanded that he hand over the money. The lone male was pointing a gun at the owner of Pam’s Pizza. The owner of Pam’s Pizza struck the assailant with the hammer possibly injuring him.
The male took off on foot still in possession of the hand gun that he had. The lone male is described as white, thin, 5’7” to 5’9” wearing a grey hoodie and black ski mask. The area was searched by Swanton Police, Vermont State Police and US Border Patrol.
