WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7PM TODAY FOR LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS BLOWING SNOW STRONG GUSTY WINDS

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...BLOWING SNOW...STRONG GUSTY
WINDS...AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION FROM ONE TO TWO INCHES.

* HAZARD TYPES...REDUCED VISIIBILITIES IN HEAVY SNOW SQUALLS AND BLOWING SNOW...AND COLD WIND CHILL READINGS.

* WIND CHILL READINGS...FROM -25 TO -30 TONIGHT.

* IMPACTS...SNOW SQUALLS AND BLOWING SNOW WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS IMPACTS TO TRAVEL INCLUDING BRIEF WHITEOUT CONDITIONS. THE FRIGID CONDITIONS WILL BE DANGEROUS TO THOSE VENTURING OUTSIDE. EXPOSURE MAY CAUSE FROSTBITE.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST 20 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH THIS EVENING TAPERING TO 15 TO 25 MPH OVERNIGHT.

* TIMING...SNOW SQUALLS AND BLOWING SNOW WILL BE ESPECIALLY PROBLEMATIC THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY EVENING. WIND CHILLS WILL DROP BELOW 10 -LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS EVENING...WITH WIND CHILLS RAPIDLY FALLING TO - 25 AND BELOW BY MID EVENING.
