High Wind Warning and Winter Weather Advisory in effect through tomorrow afternoon.
The National Weather Service in New York has issued a High Wind
Warning which is in effect from midnight tonight to 2:00 PM
Sunday. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1:00 PM Sunday February 15th with snow accumulations of 3-7 inches.
Winds: 30 to 40 MPH with gusts up to 60 MPH.
Impacts: Strong wind gusts may down tree limbs and power lines. Driving high profile vehicles will be difficult especially on elevated roadways and bridges. Blowing snow may reduce visibility to near zero at times. Even after new snow has stopped falling this will make travel and snow removal efforts difficult.
Secure all loose items outside to prevent them from blowing away and becoming a hazard.
Additionally, residents are reminded that during a power loss not to use their ovens or any auxiliary heating unit which emits carbon monoxide. Such methods of auxiliary heating are also a serious fire hazard. Keep all generators in a well ventilated area.
Report power outages to PSE&G by calling 1-800-436-7734
