Shortly after midnight on Saturday, February 14, a passerby called 911 to report something suspicious at the car wash located in the area of W Farm Rd 164 (W Walnut Lawn) and S Farm Rd 137 (S Scenic) in southwest Greene County. It appeared as if the power was off but water was running in all of the car wash bays. Once GCSO Deputies arrived, they observed damage to an office window.

GCSO Deputies and K9 Dar searched the office and eventually located a white male hiding behind sheet metal near the entryway. The male was given commands to which he refused to obey and was apprehended with the assistance of GCSO Dep. Tiller and K9 Dar. The 44-year old male was arrested and transported to a local hospital to receive medical attention after sustaining minor injuries.

"We really have to credit this arrest to the observant, concerned citizens that called 911. They were the ones who helped our Deputies protect our community by reporting the suspicious behavior," stated Sheriff Jim Arnott.

Charges will be submitted to the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
