INCIDENT TYPE: HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK
The New Jersey Regional Operations Intelligence Center (NJ ROIC) reports the State Office of Emergency Management (NJ OEM) is monitoring a weather event in coordination with the National Weather Service (NWS).
SUMMARY: A wind chill advisory is in effect until noon today. A Winter Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Watch is in effect for tonight and Tuesday as snow will range from 2-8" across the state. Most snow will fall between 11:00 pm tonight and mid-morning Tuesday. Temperatures will continue to be low, but without the high winds of the past few days.
IMPACT: The forecast snowfall for tonight and tomorrow will impact Tuesday’s morning commute, particularly in central and southern NJ. This system will bring more snowfall in SE NJ than northern NJ as it passes south of us. Temperatures Tuesday will be in the teens and 20’s statewide, but we have another arctic blast toward the end of the week. More details as that system develops.
