The city utilities crew are currently working on several water breaks. They are in the areas of:
South Fourth St. and Diagonal St.
Ganyard St.and South Park St.
Ganyard St. and Greenbriar Ave.
West Hill Ave.
These areas could experience loss of water for a time once the line is shutoff for repairs. If you live in any of these areas you may want to stock up on bottled water for drinking and cooking and fill jugs for other water purposes.
The Utilities Director said the situation is difficult and the weather conditions will add to the difficulties making this a long repair time. All three of these water breaks are on the same line or just off of that line. The lines will need to be repaired before water can be turned back on. There is no way to predict at this point how long that could take.
Due to large amounts of water loss in such a short amount of time other streets in this area may experience rusty water. If you are experiencing rusty water and it doesn't clear up by letting your facet run for several minutes please call 330-925-2059 and have your address added to a list and the utilities crew will get to these areas after the water breaks are repaired.
