The Montclair Police Department, in cooperation with the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS), is hosting child seat installation and occupant safety class on March 14, 2015, in the Montclair Police Department community room. The program is designed to improve child occupant safety by reducing the instances of improperly secured children due to improper installation, or damaged, recalled, and missing car seats.

Classes will present parents and child caregivers with current child car seat laws, installation of appropriate car seats, and demonstrations with the attendees own vehicle. All attendees will receive at the conclusion of the class an OTS funded car seat appropriate for their child. Space in the classes is limited. You can sign up at the Montclair Police Department, or contact one of our Motor Officers at [email protected] and they will contact you to confirm your enrollment. There will be limited space for walk-ins the day of the event.

Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
