Hazardous Weather Discussion
A Winter Weather Advisory is effective at 3 PM today ending between 1 AM and 9 AM statewide. This is a familiar pattern: Snow starts later this afternoon, changing to a wintry mix tonight, and then to rain for most locations overnight. Accumulations will range from little to none in SE NJ, to 1-3” in northern counties, and less than an inch in the remaining locations.
Impacts to New Jersey
The evening commute and travel tonight may be impacted by snow, ice or a wintry mix as temperatures hover above and below the freezing. The Wednesday morning commute may be impacted from ice and rain as well. We are monitoring the forecast for Wed. into Thurs., as snow totals will be higher. Expect Winter Weather Advisories and Warnings to be posted for Wed. and Thurs. statewide.
Please check on elderly family and neighbors in the event electric goes out due to ice, wind.
