On March 2nd and 3rd, the Corona Police Department partnered with several schools within the Corona-Norco Unified School District to celebrate Read Across America. The National Education Association Read Across America literacy program, now in its 18th year, is a year-round program that focuses on motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships, and reading resources. Reading is an important part of a child’s life and the Corona Police Department is grateful for the opportunity to encourage kids to read. A special appearance was made by Officer Chad Fountain and K-9 Spike.
