The National Weather Service issued a FLOOD WARNING for PERRY COUNTY until 3:00 PM, March 4th.
* AT 1003 AM EST/903 AM CST/...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS ACROSS THE AREA HAVE REPORTED SIGNIFICANT FLOODING ISSUES. BETWEEN 1 AND 3 INCHES HAS ALREADY FALLEN. SOME ROADS ARE CLOSED. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL UP TO 1 INCH ON TOP OF A VERY SATURATED GROUND WILL CAUSE CREEKS AND STREAMS TO RISE OUT OF BANKS.
*EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
*EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER ON COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.
