*** BOIL WATER ADVISORY ***
ALL customers of the Town of Oceana's water system are still under a Boil Water Advisory until further notice.
Some frequently asked questions about this advisory:
- Water to be consumed is to be boiled for 1 min. prior to using.
- It is safe to take a bath/shower, be careful not to swallow water.
- It is safe to do laundry.
- Dishwashers are safe to use if water reaches a temperature of at least 160°F or if the dishwasher has a sanitizing cycle.
- Pets can get some of the same diseases as people. It is a good idea to give them boiled water that has been cooled.
