OPO BLITZ ON THE BRIDGE

BEGINS: FRIDAY, MARCH 13, 2015
ENDS: SUNDAY, MARCH 29, 2015

FOCUS: Law enforcement will target aggressive driving behaviors of driving approaching and entering the Main Street Bridge corridor. The intersections of Main and Wabash Streets and Main Street and SR 124 East have long been leading locations of crashes in Bluffton. It is our goal to reduce to the number of crashes and injuries at these locations as a result of the increased enforcement efforts. Violators of Indiana traffic codes, especially including those relating to speed, disregarding automatic signals and failing to signal lane changes can expect citations. Of course, officers can also enforce all other traffic statutes, such as those relating to occupant safety.

As always, officers will exercise zero-tolerance in the enforcement of seatbelts usage and child restraint usage, along with impaired driving violations.
