Investigation Leads to Meth Lab near Pekin
Washington County – Two Pekin area residents were arrested Tuesday on multiple charges after a search uncovered methamphetamine and meth lab materials at their residence.
Troopers from the Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Section received information that a possible meth lab was located at 522 South Gobbler Knob Road near Pekin, Indiana. Troopers from the Sellersburg State Police post assisted in the search after a search warrant was obtained. During the search methamphetamine along with materials commonly used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine were discovered.
As a result of the investigation, Levaughn Canaday, 27, 522 Gobbler Knob Road, Pekin, and Johnathan K. Gibson, 22, also from 522 Gobbler Knob Road were arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail. Both subjects are charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine – Level 4 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine- Level 6 Felony, Possession of Precursors – Level 6 Felony, Maintaining a Common Nuisance- Level 6 Felony, and Possession of Paraphernalia – Class A Misdemeanor.
