Traffic Stop for Speed Results in Drug Arrest
Dubois County (Ferdinand): A Wednesday afternoon traffic stop landed a Kentucky woman in jail for illegally possessing steroids and needles.
Around 1:30 this afternoon, Master Trooper Brian LaRoche stopped a gray 2012 Ford on the eastbound side of Interstate 64 at the 62 mile marker for speeding. While speaking with the driver, Jennifer D. Carroll, 24, Brandenberg, KY, M/Trp LaRoche learned that Carroll did not have a valid driver’s license. M/Trp LaRoche, continuing his investigation, found that Carroll was in possession of 25 glass vials of anabolic steroids without a prescription and numerous hypodermic needles, both of which are Level 6 felonies.
Carroll was placed into custody without incident and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
