Inmate Dace Lunderman fails to return to Rapid City Minimum Unit following funeral furlough
A state prison inmate from Rapid City has been placed on escape status after failing to return from a funeral furlough.
Inmate Dace Lunderman failed to return to the Rapid City Minimum Unit at the scheduled time March 14 following a funeral furlough to Mission, SD.
Lunderman is a 30-year-old Native American male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 6-feet-4 inches tall and weighs approximately 260 pounds.
He was convicted of simple assault against a law enforcement officer in Pennington County and sentenced to two years in prison.
There are approximately 800 minimum-security inmates housed across the state, including 202 at the Rapid City Minimum Unit.
