Criminal Activity - Attempted Burglary - Side street off East Allendale Rd.
Last night at 10:30 PM a resident from a side street off of East Allendale Road called 9-1-1 reporting an attempted burglary. The family was home at the time and was alerted to the situation when their dog began barking in an aggressive manner. When they went to see what the dog was barking about they observed a ladder had been placed against their home to a second story window. After a brief delay they called 9-1-1 to report the situation. Patrol and K-9 units were dispatched to the area but the actor/actors had fled the prior to their arrival. The actor/actors never made entry to the home.
The following tips may reduce your chances of becoming a victim;
If you have an alarm system, update it, and use it.
Second story windows should be alarmed.
