Catalytic Converter Thefts are on the rise in Topanga Division: 
Recently, Topanga Division has seen a rise in the theft of Catalytic Converters. Topanga Detectives are investigating these crimes, however would like to urge the community to be vigilant.
-When/If you are able to, avoid parking your vehicle on the street. Instead utilize garages and/or carports.
-Be aware of people around or underneath vehicles, and call the police if you feel their activity is suspicious.
-A vehicle will run in the absence of the catalytic converter, however pay attention to unusual noises and the way your vehicle is running. If you suspect you have been the victim of a catalytic converter theft, please have your car checked out as soon as possible. If in fact you have been a victim of this type of theft, please contact your local police station to make a report.
