Milan Area Fire Department Conducting Controlled Burns this Weekend along Saline River 
MAFD may be conducting some controlled burns of the overgrowth along the banks of the Saline River near Wilson Park, and near the retention pond east of/behind the ball fields if conditions permit this weekend. The burns are designed to control overgrowth, reduce plant debris build-up, improve habitat, help with water quality, and reduce fire hazards.
