Sobriety Checkpoint Nets Two Impaired Drivers
Knox County – Between midnight and 2:00 this morning, Indiana State Police and Knox County Sheriff’s Department conducted a sobriety checkpoint on SR 61 in Monroe City. During the two-hour period, officers checked 22 drivers that passed through the checkpoint and arrested two of them for driving while intoxicated. Both drivers were taken to the Knox County Jail where they are currently being held on bond.

- Nathaniel Evans, 38, Winslow, IN
- Driving While Intoxicated – Refusal, Class C Misdemeanor
- Operating a Vehicle as a Habitual Traffic Violator, Level 6 Felony
- Jeffrey Stafford, 48, Monroe City, IN
- Driving While Intoxicated – Refusal, Class C Misdemeanor
