Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult that occurred on Monday, March 23, 2015, at the intersection of 104^th Street and Inglewood Avenue, Los Angeles.

Detectives have learned that South Los Angeles Station deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon - gunshot victim call.  When they arrived, they found the victim lying in the crosswalk, bleeding and unresponsive.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the victim was riding his bicycle when he was confronted by a male suspect who had exited from a nearby vehicle.

The suspect then produced a firearm and shot the victim multiple times in the upper torso.  He then re-entered the vehicle being driven by a second suspect, and fled the scene.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There is no additional suspect or vehicle description at this time.

The identity of the victim will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner.
