Switz City – This past Friday, off duty Trooper Richard Klun spotted and assisted a female hitchhiking on State Road 54 near River Road. After offering to give her a ride, the female identified herself as Andrea D. Harmening, 30 of Bloomfield.
A check of her Indiana Identification revealed that Harmening was Wanted on a Warrant for Failure to Appear through Johnson County, with statewide extradition. Harmening was then taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Jail where she was lodged, awaiting extradition from Johnson County.
Trooper Klun is a four-year veteran with ISP and was named "Trooper of the Year” for 2014 at the Bloomington Post.
Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
