Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews are responding to a 12-inch main break at 1101 N. King St., near the intersection of N. King and Kohou Streets.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and find an alternate route, as the break has closed both Koko-Head-bound traffic lanes. For now, police officers at the scene are contra-flowing one of the ewa-bound lanes.
The BWS will be bringing out a water wagon for the 25 customers who have lost water service due to the break on the 12-inch water main, the age of which is not recorded. When it arrives, the water wagon will be positioned on N. King St., near Morris Lane.
