On March 27, 2015, at approximately 2030 hours, a lone female was walking in the area of the 10000 block of Cozycroft Avenue in the city of Chatsworth.  The victim was knocked to the ground and sexually assaulted. The suspect involved has been described as a male Hispanic-no further details. 

The Devonshire Sexual Assault Unit is requesting the public’s assistance.  Anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed suspicious activity is asked to contact Devonshire Sexual Assault Unit at (818) 832-0609 or the Devonshire Watch Commander at 818 832 0633.

Safety tips:

·        Always try to stay aware of your surroundings

·        Don’t wear your headphone, ear buds; you will not be able to detect possible approaching danger.

·        Try to walk in groups: If you are walking alone, try to keep continuous contact with someone advising them of your location

·        Stick to well-lit and heavily traveled streets; keep from walking next to bushes and or blind spots.
