Burglary reported on Osgood Rd 3/27/15
We responded to a burglary that occurred sometime during the day on Friday (3/27/15) on Osgood Rd. A window was broken to gain entry into the residence. I would like to take this opportunity to again remind everyone to make every effort to secure your residences and to set your alarms if you have them. As the snow melts it makes it easier for burglars to move around your residence without leaving tracks or prints in the snow.
The warm weather will also bring about people going door to door soliciting various services. Most commonly yard clean up and driveway paving or seal coating. The Town of Kensington does not permit any unlicensed soliciting. Our agency aggressively enforces and prosecutes this ordinance because these are often not legitimate businesses and their presence within the community usually coincides with burglaries and thefts. Please immediately report any suspicious activity, including door to door soliciting, to the Kensington Police Department by calling 772-2929 or 911. We appreciate your help and hope you have a wonderful spring!
