Pedstrian / Bicycle / Motorcycle Season is here!! Please watch for them as the weather warms up.
PEDESTRIANS--You should use the sidewalks when they are available and the crosswalks (move briskly as you cross, this is not the time to stroll along) while still watching for traffic. If there are no sidewalks and you have to walk on the roadway, you must walk facing (opposite direction of) vehicle traffic along the outside edge.
BICYCLES--Tavel with (same direction as) vehicle traffic and you must obey the bicycle traffic laws. Use the street and bike lanes where they are provided. When traveling on the Wisconsin Dells Parkway (USH12/STH23) you should use the sidewalks (yielding to pedestrians). Remember to use proper hand signals to communicate with traffic.
MOTORCYCLES--Are considered a vehicle and must obey all traffic laws. Wearing a helmet and proper riding attire (including highly visible and protective clothing) are excellent safety decisions.
If we all take the time to see each other and we will all enjoy safe travel in the Wisconsin Dells area.
