Note to Residents re Coyote Sighting on Marvin Street

Just a note to make residents aware that the police department responded to a coyote sighting in the 400 block of Marvin Street yesterday afternoon. There have been no prior reported sightings and there have been none sense. The coyote was in a residents' back yard. When the responding officer approached its location and came into its view, it ran away in an easterly direction. The officer searched the surrounding areas and did not re-locate it. The officer reported there were no obvious signs of it being sick, injured, or having mange. The PD did contact the DNR. If a resident observes a coyote, please contact the police department and we will respond and investigate.
