Congratulations to Arlington Police Academy Class 47! 
On Friday, March 27, 32 Police Recruits from Class 47 graduated the Police Academy. Hundreds of family members, friends and APD Officers attended the ceremony to welcome the new Officers to the APD family. The Officers went through an extensive 28-week academy provided by the police department. They will continue Police Training with a Police Training Officer for another 18 weeks.
Special awards were given out to the following Officers:
Valedictorian - Officer Stephen Lawson
Salutatorian - Officer Tomas Martinez, Jr.
Physical Fitness - Officer Josh Altimus
A huge congratulations goes out to the new Officers and we wish them much success in their new police careers.
