Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult that occurred on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, in the 10100 block of Budlong Avenue, Los Angeles.

Detectives have learned that at 8:30 a.m., South Los Angeles Station deputies responded to the location regarding a “gunshot victim” call.  Upon their arrival, they discovered the victim, a 47 year-old male Black, lying on the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to witnesses, the victim was walking on the sidewalk when a white van drove alongside the victim and stopped.  One suspect exited the van and shot the victim several times with a handgun.  The suspect then entered the van driven by a second suspect before fleeing the scene north on Budlong Avenue.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The weapon has not been recovered and there is no description of the suspects at this time.

Incident: Shooting Death Investigation

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are en route to 10100 block of Budlong Avenue, Los Angeles, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult.
