Traffic Stop in Daviess County Nets Drunk Driver, Methamphetamine
Daviess County: An afternoon traffic stop put a suspected drunk driver behind bars and drugs off the streets.
At 1:08 P.M., Senior Trooper Jarrod Lents observed a black 1999 Pontiac Grand Am traveling over the speed limit on County Road 900 East, north of County Road 200 North. After speaking with the driver, Nathan M. Williams, 29, Loogootee, Senior Trooper Lents had probable cause to believe Williams had operated a vehicle while intoxicated. Further investigation during the stop showed Williams was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Williams was found to have a blood alcohol content of .11%. He was lodged, without incident, in the Daviess County Jail.
