Eustis Police Department Rides in the 2015 Florida Tour de Force
[Eustis, FL] –“The Eustis Police Department shall represent Lake County’s Law Enforcement in the 18th Annual Florida Tour de Force, April 13 thru April 17, 2015. Officers of the Eustis Police Department will participate in this 270-mile charity bicycle ride to honor and raise money for Florida's Law Enforcement Fallen Heroes. The ride will begin in North Miami Beach, FL on April 13 and finish at Daytona Beach Shores Public Safety Department on April 17. Sergeant Dave Carney and Lieutenant Ken Birkhofer will complete the entire 270-mile distance and Officer Matt Grieves will ride the final leg of the tour. The Tour annually raises money and distributes the proceeds to the surviving family members of law enforcement officers who die in the line of duty in the state of Florida. All proceeds with the exception of a small amount of money to pay for startup expenses each year are equally distributed to the surviving family members of officers lost in the line of duty during the current year.”
