Catalytic Converters Stolen
The Police Department has been investigating the thefts of several catalytic converters reportedly stolen between March 26th and March 31st, 2015.
A total of 17 thefts have been reported from Dodge Rams and Toyota’s Sequoia, 4-Runner and Tundra models.
Catalytic converter thefts have become prevalent recently. The cost to replace a stolen converter ranges from several hundred dollars to thousands of dollars, depending on the vehicle’s make and model.
Witnesses reported seeing a flat black Honda CRV with a spare tire mounted on the back in the area at the time of the thefts. It is unknown if the vehicle is connected to the theft, but Detectives would like to interview the owner of this vehicle.
