The Maricopa Police in connection with The Maricopa Fire Department are proud to announce our Car Seat Safety Program. The group of certified technicians completed a course through the National Child Passenger Safety Certification Training and partnered with National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) with the common goal to save lives, prevent injuries, reduce traffic costs through education, research, safety standards and enforcement.
The certified technicians are made up of Police Officers, Fire personnel and civilian employees. As technicians, we are committed to educate caregivers of proper use of car seats, booster seats, and seat belts. When used correctly, the risk of hospitalization, injury, and death for children is greatly reduced.
Our first event will take place on April 25th 2015 at The Maricopa Fire Department Station #575 located at 45695 W. Edison Maricopa, AZ from 8:00am-1200pm. Please call the Maricopa Police Department at 520-316-6898 Monday- Friday 7:00-5:00pm to schedule your appointment for April 25th.
Please expect between 20-30 minutes for your appointment with your technician. Please bring your vehicle and car seat manual. A limited amount of appointments will be available.
