Temecula, CA - On Thursday, April 9, 2015, officers from the Temecula Police Department will be participating in the national Tip-A-Cop event benefitting Special Olympics. All community members are invited to attend.Tips a Cop/Special olympics

The event will be from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on April 9, 2015, at Claim Jumper restaurant, 29540 Rancho California Road, Temecula, CA 92591. Temecula PD officers will collect tips after helping serve Claim Jumper restaurant guests. 100% of the tips collected by the officers will benefit Special Olympics.

Tip-A-Cop is a partnership between select California Claim Jumper Restaurants and local law enforcement agencies in which officers serve as celebrity waiters at various locations, and their tips go to support Special Olympics Southern California. All tips are tax-deductible and support sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics empowers people with intellectual disabilities to become accepted and valued members of their communities. Using sports as the catalyst and programming around health and education, Special Olympics is fighting inactivity, injustice and intolerance.

This fundraising event, where law enforcement officers take service to a different level, provides community members a way to enjoy a delicious dinner and support a great cause. Mark your calendars and join us for this worthwhile event.
